Our Early Years Initial Teacher Training Programme is fantastic opportunity to continue studying for a higher degree whilst also working full time within one of our outstanding settings. Working in conjunction with Best Practice Network, Seymour House offers graduates the opportunity to undertake their further qualification in a structured training programme, with guidance and mentoring from a Head of Early Years Practice.
Our EYITT programme enables each graduate to experience multiple high quality, professional nursery locations throughout their course, encouraging them to learn from a wealth of other Early Years professionals. At the end of the 1 year EYITT programme, each graduate will gain an Early Years Teaching status.
Applicants should final year students, or graduates with either a degree in Early Years or Childcare, or a degree in another discipline with work experience within an early years setting.

Ciara Barbour-Philips
“I am currently completing my Early Years Initial Teacher Training with Seymour House Nursery. Before this, I completed my degree studying Education and Childhood Studies at Anglia Ruskin University, Chelmsford.
My interest in working with young children stemmed from my work within primary school reception classes as an assistant, placements throughout university and abroad and my academic work and research in psychology within children’s developmental stages.
When I was offered the opportunity to work at Seymour House and gain Early Years Teacher Status I knew this was best suited for me as a graduate as I am able to use my experiences from my degree and schools to help children not only learn but also develop at young ages. I love being part of children’s progress within learning who all have diverse and individual needs through creative activities and play.”
