Safeguarding is a priority. We have a duty to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and take steps to prevent physical, sexual, or emotional abuse and neglect of all children in our care.
There is a specially trained Designated Safeguarding Lead person in each setting, typically the Nursery Manager who is responsible for child protection issues and for liaising with the appropriate agencies. Seymour House adheres to the SET (Southend, Essex and Thurrock) Joint Child Protection Procedures for settings in Essex, and the Hertfordshire Interagency Child Protection Procedures Manual for settings in Hertfordshire.
