About Broomfield Road Nursery
The Broomfield Road Nursery is set within a quarter of an acre in the heart of Chelmsford. The large Victorian villa has 4 home base rooms, providing a calm and nurturing environment for our youngest children. A large modern extension offers a more school like environment for our pre-school children to help them prepare for the transition.
Our nursery is judged by Ofsted to provide outstanding care and education and our team pride themselves on giving our children the very best start.

We know that parents are a child’s first and most important educator, and we believe that working in partnership with you is as important as our work with your child. Our fantastic team of Early Years Educators and Teachers provide a calm, caring but stimulating nursery environment to offer your child the best space to learn and grow.
Delivering outstanding early education
We believe that working together with parents achieves the best outcome for children’s learning and development. So, we’ve created engaging early education resources that are available for free to parents of children at our nurseries. Our resources support literacy and maths but also communication, critical thinking, creativity, cooperation, curiosity.
Teaching children to read and write
Discover how we teach our nursery school children to read and write by introducing letters and sounds, while practising listening and speaking. Before long, children start to recognise familiar words automatically and read new words by decoding them quickly. As soon as children can read independently, the emphasis shifts from learning to read, to reading to learn.
Introducing numeracy to children
Find out how we introduce numeracy to our nursery school children using Dragon Maths. This is an effective learning process that was developed at Seymour House to give children a firm foundation in numeracy. Dragon Maths gives children the confidence to master arithmetic at primary school, mathematics at secondary, and opens the door to the stem subjects: science, technology, engineering, and maths.

I cannot fault Seymour house at Broomfield Road, the nursery setting itself and the staff are fantastic and I am over the moon that my little boy gets to attend such a special place.
