Basildon Hospital Nursery is small but mighty, providing a homely and perfectly nurturing space for your child to learn, grow, and play both inside and out, with each area filled with stimulating resources tailored to each age and stage of development.
Children can explore two exciting outdoor spaces, including our nature inspired back garden which offers a wide range of engaging learning opportunities and supports the children’s natural curiosities for nature. This includes a large kitchen garden area, where the children can explore life cycles and take part in planting and growing of crops.

Nursery Manager
Danielle NorrisHaving 15 years’ experience working alongside children and their families, I have a great passion to making a difference to children’s lives and providing exceptional care and education. I have previously shared my knowledge and gained many skills in our other Seymour House settings and am proud to be leading our brilliant team at Basildon Hospital nursery.
I support the team provide the very best for the children in our care, giving every child a truly joyful, fun nursery experience, so they can thrive and develop into wonderful learners. I look forward to welcoming you and your child to our outstanding setting.
Head of Early Years Practice
Esther CareyI have a passion for the early years and my aim is to ensure that all children are heard in a warm and nurturing environment that feels like a community. Over the past 5 years I’ve worked across several Seymour House nurseries and I’m proud to have supported lots of our team members to provide outstanding learning opportunities so that we can deliver the best outcomes for children. My favourite part of the day is seeing all our little people blossom and flourish and playing all the characters whilst reading Supertato!
Our Early Years Educators
Our Early Years Educators are outstanding fountains of knowledge, with a wide range of experience and qualifications. They ensure children’s individual needs are met, provide quality care and educational opportunities, and create an enriched learning environment where children thrive.
Our Apprentices
Our Apprentices, with the support and knowledge from our Nursery Leadership Team, continuously improve, embed and practice outstanding care and education across the nursery whilst continuing their studies through our Seymour House Apprentice Academy.
Nursery Food Champion
Our Nursery Food Champion supports our team in delivering food education to the children through cooking, planting in our kitchen garden, and understanding where our food comes from. They also work with Nursery Kitchen to provide healthy and balanced meals for our children throughout the day.
