Our fantastic Early Years Teachers are dedicated to providing outstanding care and education for the children within our care. They are passionate and enthusiastic about giving each child opportunities to learn and develop every day, encouraging them to reach their full potential. This highly rewarding role within our well-resourced and high quality nursery settings provides the ideal opportunity for our Early Years professionals to make a real difference to the children in our care and their families.
An Early Years Teacher continually strives to improve outcomes for children by sharing theory and practice with other Early Years professionals within the setting. Early Years Teachers also identify opportunities to improve practice, and provide training and support to others.
Katie Miller
“Before joining Seymour House I studied Sociology at the University of Essex which taught me about the importance of education in the Early Years. I was also a relief member of staff for 3 years at a different setting.
I decided to join Seymour House Day Nursery Schools because I wanted to work in Early Years, but also wanted to continue my education. I undertook the Early Year Initial Teacher Training Programme with Seymour House as it was a great opportunity to work full time and also gain a qualification. I am now a qualified Early Years Teacher and hope to continue progressing in my career at Seymour House by working towards a Senior Early Years Educator role.
I love watching the children learn and develop, and knowing I have helped with this process. I really enjoy seeing children participating in the activities prepared for them, and seeing the children learn through play.”
