Parent Partnerships

At Seymour House, we want you to feel involved in your child’s learning journey every step of the way!

Each day when you collect your child from nursery, a member of the team will talk to you about your child’s day and their adventures, from exciting discoveries and magical moments to new achievements and skills. We’ll also offer ideas and inspiration for fun ways to continue the learning at home.

Throughout the day, our Seymour House App helps you stay connected to your child’s nursery adventures. You’ll receive updates on meals, naps, nappy changes, photos, videos and those special “WOW” moments that make each day so memorable.

We also love hearing about your child’s experiences at home, so please do share photos, achievements and special family moments with us. These valuable insights help us celebrate your child’s successes and interests, while enabling us to build on their learning and create meaningful connections between home and nursery.

Each term, you’ll be invited to join us for a Stay and Play session. Stay and Plays are a wonderful opportunity to experience nursery life alongside your child, explore their homebase room, get involved in play and join in with the fun, laughter, and excitement.

Twice a year, we also hold Parent Partnership Discussions. These dedicated meetings provide one to one time to talk with your child’s Key Person, about your child’s progress, their achievements, and how to support the next stage of their development. Meetings can take place via Microsoft Teams, over the phone or face to face, whichever works best for you and your family.

Families also have access to our Children’s and Parent Loan Libraries. Alongside a wonderful selection of children’s books, our parent library includes themed borrow bags packed with resources, practical advice and inspiration to support learning and family life at home.

Throughout the year, we host a range of relaxed parent drop-in sessions covering all sorts of parenting topics, from toilet training to nutritious mealtimes and everything in between. We also offer online webinars led by our fantastic Nursery Kitchen team.
