Gershwin Park Nursery Achieves Outstanding Ofsted Rating

Gershwin Park Nursery, situated in Witham, received another Outstanding Ofsted rating.

The Ofsted Inspector found that “they (children) flourish and make rapid progress in their development. They arrive excited and eager to learn. Children have established strong bonds with their key persons and leave their parents with ease. The whole nursery is centred around the children and is exceptionally calm and welcoming”.

Our high skilled early years educators were recognised for their hard work, “the curriculum is securely embedded in practice both indoors and within the outdoor classroom. Strategies are embedded in practice to ensure inclusion. This means all children, including children who require additional support and children with special educational needs and/or disabilities, achieve the best possible outcomes and are superbly prepared for their future learning”.

Parents whose children attend the nursery were also very keen to show their admiration to the inspector, “they are impressed with the kindness, compassion and support their children receive. They comment that their children thrive and make excellent progress, are confident and thoroughly enjoy their time at nursery”. Parents also shared, “they can leave their children, feeling reassured that they are safe”.

Gershwin Park’s Nursery Manager, Aimee Williams and Head of Early Years Practice, Kathleen Lake were ecstatic with the news;

We are so lucky to love what we do, continually reflecting and evolving our thinking and ideas in order to provide the very best for our children and families, they are the heart of our nursery and the motivation for everything we do”

Gershwin Park is a purpose-built Nursery offering full day care to 74 children with ages ranging from 0 to 5. The nursery is open Monday to Friday all year round, except on Christmas Day and bank holidays.
